My friend Shelly came to visit with her darling kids and pg twin sister this last week and that was a blast. They are from Pennsylvania and yes, that's a 3 hour time difference. I did feel badly for her kids but they did really well with the time change. Her kids are all the same ages as mine so it was a mad house but we had fun. Her trip included tours of oh so exciting Costco, Target, the mall, In-n-Out (yum). She also got to see Urgent Care (her son had an allergic reaction to medication he was on) and we ended that day with a trip to Downtown Disneyland. Lots of fun, missed naps, a sick Ariana, etc. lol.
Saturday was Ariana's birthday party (she turned 3). She was sick that day and crabby, oh boy was she crabby. She napped during her big Cinderella party even although woke up for presents. lol. My family was very nice to Shelly and Marcie and I was really grateful for that, heaven knows the other family members weren't so kind. I won't air dirty laundry on my blog but we'll just say after the in-laws ran for the door I was left upset. We had worked hard on this party and in the future will not do so much for the family in the way of feeding everyone. Like I said, certain things happened that have me upset still... sigh... that family comes with drama though and Shelly had been warned.
I was sad to see my friends leave but enjoyed the trip and enjoyed seeing them. Mothers Day was pooey by the way, Ariana slept all day to get over her bug and I ended up throwing up that night after a nice dinner at my parents (because of the flu, not their dinner). lol. Maybe next year her birthday party will go better, I know she had fun despite the problems and I am just sorry that it turned out that way.
